Corporate travel agency, BCD Travel, expects a shortage of accommodation and flights to Brisbane at the start of next month as thousands of people flock to the CBD for the annual Ekka festival. Starting August 6, it runs for a week ceasing Saturday, August 15.
The travel management company also warns of likely problems in Sydney on the weekend of the 8th and 9th of August with the City to Surf marathon on the Sunday.
Towards the end of the month, business travellers are likely to see scores of sports fans on planes and in hotels in Sydney as the Bledisloe Cup kicks off on the 22nd with a second match on the 29th of the month.
