Global rates for car rentals have remained flat with expectations of only small rises up to 4% in 2011, according to BCD Travel’s 2011 Industry Forecast, which was compiled by its independent consulting arm, Advito.

IHG technology pilot
InterContinental Hotels Group is piloting technology that allows travelers to use a mobile phone as a room key, the company announced on Wednesday.
IHG earlier this month began testing the technology, called MobileKey, at two of its properties: the Holiday Inn & Suites Chicago O’Hare Rosemont and the Holiday Inn Express Houston Downtown. The properties are inviting
