The German government is reportedly preparing to grant a 1.1 billion euro loan to develop the Airbus 350 long-haul passenger aircraft to rival Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner.
The Airbus A350 XWB (extra-wide body) can run on less fuel and can seat 270 to 350 passengers. Its development is being supported by three partner nations – Britain, France and Spain, who will all chip in to fund the plane’s development.
Ongoing development of superior aircraft is great news for leisure and corporate travellers as we continue to forge ahead into a new era of luxury aircraft business travel. The ability for newer aircraft to remain in the sky longer than traditional models alone is a major advantage for today’s time poor corporate travellers.
