Cost-cutting was a major focus of BCD Travel’s corporate travel clients in 2009, with the corporate travel agency working closely with all types of clients to reduce business travel expenditure.
In its 2010 Global Industry Forecast Paper, BCD Travel – the world’s third largest corporate travel management company said the recession had prompted more organisations to outsource their corporate travel to a travel management company.
The report found that many firms saw greater value in paying a travel management company to manage their business travel rather than continuing to rely on in-house procedures and processes.
In Australia, BCD Travel’s corporate travel agents in the Sydney business travel office, Melbourne business travel office and Brisbane business travel office have been working closely with clients to introduce or reinforce corporate travel policies designed to reduce business travel expenditure.
For examples of how BCD Travel has reduced costs for clients, see the White Paper.
