A fresh approach to business travel

Corporate travel down 15-20% in 2009

In its recently released 2010 Global Industry Forecast Paper, global travel management company, BCD Travel, reports that corporate travel volumes in 2009 were down 15-20% due to the Global Financial Crisis.

In addition to reducing corporate travel trips overall, companies had sought new technologies such as video conferencing to help them save money during harder economic times.

An upswing in corporate travel around the world is expected in the second half of 2010, with normal business travel conditions expected to return in 2011.
