The Top 5 cities were Bangkok in Thailand; Chiang Mai in Thailand; Florence in Italy;
San Miguel de Allende in Mexico; and Rome in Italy.
The Top 5 hotels were Oberoi Vanyavilas in India; Triple Creek Ranch in Montana,
US; Fairmont Mara Safari Club in Kenya (up from No 96 last year), San Ysidro
Ranch (A Rosewood Resort) in California, US; and Oberoi Amarvilas in India.
The only Australian hotel to make the global list was Melbourne’s Langham hotel at
No 99. However, it retained its No 1 City Hotel ranking for the South Pacific Region.
