Corporate travel trips increase substantially in first quarter

Business travel management company, BCD Travel, reports a significant increase in the number of business travel trips booked by its corporate travel clients in the first quarter of 2010.

“Demand is definitely up on last year,” said BCD Travel Head of Sales & Client Services, Stephen Finlay.

“The number of corporate travel trips booked by our clients for meetings and incentives has increased by up to 50%. We’re also seeing more corporate travellers choosing business class and greater enquiry for overseas meetings and incentives.”

The most popular overseas locations sought by Australian corporate travel clients for meetings incentives conferences exhibitions this year are Hawaii, Fiji and Bali, he said.
